Quality Fabrication Engineering dedicates its work to solving engineering design issues and building a practical and more efficient product to do jobs better whilst delivering the safest outcome achievable.
QFE engaged Mark Bouw Group to support their Research and Development data management. The company intended to research and explore how property, road building and maintenance services are undertaken and how they can develop a range of novel technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the process whilst solving problems such as labour utilisation, occupational health and safety and statutory obligations.
In order to support QFE with their quest to improve problems such as labour utilisation, occupational health and safety and statutory obligations, Mark Bouw Group provided comprehensive R&D data management support.
“To assist with our various R&D projects, Mark Bouw Group was contracted and subsequently provided us with a deep understanding of the intricacies of R&D, how to put a R&D program into place and assisted us with our presentations to the relevant government departments for grant approvals. Mark Bouw Group is in contact with us on a regular basis to ensure that we are on track with our concepts and that we are compliant with tracking of information and associated R&D projects costs. We have found Mark Bouw Group to be knowledgeable, completely professional and highly ethical in their business conduct. They have shown a profound interest in our new business concepts and have demonstrated an excellent understanding of what we are trying to accomplish. Mark Bouw Group has certainly made the R&D process much easier for us to implement within our business. I am also pleased with our success in achieving approved R&D activity status with the Australian Government, Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources. “Graham Laycock, Managing Director QFE”
From planning and implementing research tasks and data collection, Mark Bouw Group supported QFE through the construction of the Road Ant, a dual controlled forward moving aggregate spreader set to increase safety on spray sealing projects across the road network.
This work led to the creation of the Q-FE Road Ant which was the winner of the Victorian 2020 APPA Safety Initiative Award which was sponsored by the Department of Transport.
"Mark and his team have been our advisors, helping us to chart the innovation strategy landscape. With a 100% success rate, they keep our R&D strategy on track."
