Built on the premise of supporting grassroots art collectives and artists and, showcasing Indigenous-led art, First Nations Fashion Design is the leading NFP Indigenous Corporation in the Fashion and art space.
First Nations Fashion Designs focuses on empowering Indigenous peoples to celebrate, express and continue the dialogue around their cultural heritage as a way through which they can improve Indigenous knowledge.
As a leader in their field, First Nation’s Fashion + Design (FNFD) is a lead participant at the Australian Afterpay Fashion Week. With their rapid growth it was necessary for the team at First Nations Fashion Design to have the right team behind them to navigate how quickly their organisation was scaling.
The initial partnership saw Mark Bouw Group undertake the role of Virtual CFO for FNFD focusing on budgeting, financial modelling, governance support and key stakeholder relations to ensure that the organisation is meeting their financial obligations and preparing for future growth.
Mark Bouw Group supported the organisation's corporate advisory and strategic planning, outlining how growth aligned with FNFD culture and values could be maintained over the coming years. A key focus of FNFD was managing the intercultural aspects of the organisation and ensuring that both Western and Indigenous regulations and laws are adhered to.
Further financial support is provided through our bookkeeping and recruitment services. Assistance with electronic bookkeeping systems, debt management, payroll and recruitment ensured that FNFD can streamline their operations, grow their team and continue the creative development of their organisation.
